Sample requirements

TAMM accepts DNA extracted from most materials, e.g. blood, cells, saliva,  whole genome amplified (WGA) and filter paper spot is accepted on a case by case basis.

TAMM recommends using a fluorometric technology such as PicoGreen® or Qubit® to measure DNA concentration. For Agena methods, spectrophotometric DNA concentration measurements are also accepted.

Any DNA left following the completion of a project, can be returned on request.

Sending samples to TAMM

Plates should be labelled as in the corresponding Plate_layout file. Prior to sending samples to TAMM: download the Delivery Note form, fill it in and print it out. This Delivery Note printout should then accompany the samples to TAMM.

If sending samples via aircraft, seal plates with tight cap strips or send the DNA dried in the plates. Plates sealed with PCR film may leak their contents when shipped via aircraft.
